Pi in the Sky

Stayed at home for most of the day, for the temperature outside was simply too hot...34 degrees, 44 humidex... Even the overnight low of 26 is higher than the regional normal... Anyway, when I'm at home, I started to waste time, of course. I was struggling to pray, several times falling asleep while praying. I wanted to read the Bible, but somehow had a hard time getting it opened. It's this constant struggling that kept me away from doing any real things...hence almost the entire day, wasted. Meanwhile, I've already had two nightmares regarding the meeting with Jim later today...yikes.

In the evening, however, I went to the fifth floor patio, sat down at a picnic table and started singing worship songs to God. Even though it was still hot and humid, I got used to it pretty quickly. I started to imagine the wind that blows around as God's comfort to me in the heat, and the trees waving around as dancing for God. It was a wonderful time.

I'm grateful to God for...
  • testing my patience, and this time it appears that I passed the test;
  • Francis' email;
  • wonderful time of evening worship alone;
  • healing my body; and
  • a day of some relaxation and rest.
