I obviously have some misgivings about basketball, but a lot of people like it, apparently, so I won't say much. So the guys asked me to play last Sunday. As much as I was bored, I refused to play for fear of being a liability and ruin the fun of it for everyone, which has always happened whenever I played.

I know people are being humble or something like that, but sometimes it just feels bad to hear others say that. Things like mesister saying how badly she plays the violin. We often cautioned her not to say that because that would make others think, "hmm...if you are bad at it, then how good are we?" Anyway, I know that I do that a lot, and often I feel that is true, but it may have made others feel bad about it... Of course boasting about our own talents is no good, either...so there's this fine delicate line to walk...
