Last week was mostly spent on preparing for Amazing Race. I don’t know whether I should have spent that much time on it, but I guess the end result isn’t too bad. I logged 96.1 kilometres for the race, which took about 5.5 hours (shorter than anticipated, surprisingly), and covered 4 cities. Nice…they were much faster in completing the tasks than I thought… Anyway, it was a very tiring day Saturday, especially with the hot weather… It’s a bit unfortunately that I’m an organizer and wasn’t able to witness a lot of the things that went on during the race. Would have liked to have known what went on…that’s too bad.
Thursday there was a side trip to help Danny’s brother move from Guelph to Toronto. All went well in the first part, until we had dinner…the restaurant was almost closing, so we had take out and ate in the car. Unfortunately for Jerry, he spilled his soup and burned himself….yikes. So this unexpectedly took us to a gas station and two hospitals, waiting for a long time, before finally getting the clear to go home. Good thing Jerry was ok, and now my car has the smell of his food…heh.
For right now, I’m sick, so that’s not good. Lots of marking to come, which I hope to complete in one day…yeah, not possible. Meanwhile, it’s one more week until supervisor returns, and I definitely need to get things done… Spiritually, I’m still a wreck…and just disobedient, especially after a shocking revelation that showed my heart was not right…sigh…
