Pi in the Sky

I wanted a journal, and this is it.

I don’t know why I’m getting very easily irritated these days, getting angry over little things. Like, the massive emails regarding when to hold a coworker meeting. I think it’s a general fact that nobody listens to me anymore, and I’m used to it already, but what’s more disturbing is that I get the impression (probably a wrong one) that it seems to be ok for Ginger to miss the coworker meeting but not Elaine. Very very bad. There are other little things too, like the usual disrespectfulness coming from Francis regarding the Trinitarianism text, or the lack of progress in my research. All in all, I’m praying really hard that I will forget all of this and calm down, but it’s not working, and that’s why I’m up this late at night.

It was great that Tony accidentally stumbled upon our little Trinitarianism Bible study. I haven’t seen Tony in a while, and it’s very nice to see him again. Later, we (but not Tony) went to Swiss Chalet for a final dinner (sounds like the last supper), and we were joined by Ron, who was also delightful. At any rate, my stomach doesn’t feel very good afterwards, even right now, so not sure what happened there.

Hi, I’m Martin, and I’m a puzzleholic.

Thursday: Morning research and then supervisor meeting, where I found out that after all that work, I was looking at the wrong part of the paper that I’m trying to improve. The work previously certainly isn’t a lost cause, so I won’t be crying over the time lost.

Thursday night: I stayed up until 3am to get the Bible games done. I think I managed to finished the question composing part, and boy that was harder than I anticipated.

Wednesday: Go to school, go home early, do laundry, and I don’t remember what else I did. I really need to clean my room.

So…I’ve been busy, and haven’t been able to keep up with this thing. I’ll work backwards… Today: wasted it all to puzzles.

Friday: Class lunch at East Side Marios. It was fun. I sat near Irene and Sune, and we talked a lot amongst ourselves, leaving the rest of the class as another clique. The lunch took forever to arrive, and took only a few minutes to finish, so it wasn’t much of a lunch. We eventually stayed for about 2 hours, leaving me slightly worried about the possible incompletion of Bible games, but that didn’t matter eventually. On the way back, we encountered the worst winds blowing toward us, with some snow mixed in it. Walking backwards was the key to survival, apparently. Anyway, it was a good class to be in and I made some new friends, so that’s good.

Friday: Bible games. It was ok, I guess. The Jeopardy rounds and the charade went as well as I can ever imagined. There seems to be more tricky questions than I thought, but that was fun. I really regretted the end game, however, where I brought an element of puzzling into it. I was hoping that for each level of puzzle & Bible parts, they would interact with each other so that if one is hard, the other part may provide some useful information. But, what end up being is that each team separated itself into two groups, with one group dedicated to the puzzle part and another dedicated to the Bible part. I didn’t like that at all. I guess I should have seen that coming. Anyway, another lesson learned, and I will try to get better the next time.
